Glaize

Glaize’s mission is to provide a quality manicure that is easier, faster and better for your nails and the environment, while still giving you the durability and salon quality of a gel manicure.

To achieve this, Gina Farran, co-founder and CEO together with Tom Christensen, co-founder and COO, have spent significant time creating a long-lasting stick-on manicure that is made from and looks like real gel but doesn’t need any curing once on the nail. All gels are ethically manufactured in the Glaize factory in the UK. Glaize’s hero product is made to measure, up to 40% plant based free from nasties and requires no exposure to UV light or uncured acrylates, is 3 to 4 times cheaper and faster than a salon manicure, 3 times longer lasting than nail polish and chip free and easily removed.

The business has already shown great growth buoyed by Gina’s highly successful appearance on Dragons’ Den.

Having already raised a significant initial investment from a variety of investors, Dunelm contributed £200k to a second round to fund continued growth.

Dunelm is delighted to be supporting two very talented young professionals in developing an exciting, innovative whilst worthwhile brand in a very large business sector with enormous scope for growth both in the UK and abroad. Contact was initially made through Dunelm’s successful involvement in Fussy, also an environmentally friendly brand operating in the retail sector. As always, a Dunelm representative will be going onto the Board and the full resources of the Dunelm investment group will be made available to support Gina and Tom wherever possible.
